Anyone is capable of being quite certain of anything.

No one ever claimed that St. Irenaeus was inerrant or even infallible.

What are you trying to argue - that St. Irenaeus' theology as a whole is useless because of this particular error?

Or are you arguing that Jesus' earthly ministry lasted substantially longer than most people think?

I didn't insinuate that Irenaeus was useless. In fact, I haven't even said that he was wrong. You have!
