Ah more wonderful news coming out of Newark :-( . You have to understand that this did occur in Newark, NJ, probably THE most corrupt city in the country. Just caught Connie Chung speaking to Sharp James.......she turned my stomach with her giddy laughter when James mentioned that the boys were so hungry they couldn't get enough to eat. Why she would find that funny is beyond me......it made me cringe to hear her laughter.

Unfortunately, I've had some close encounters with less than desirable mothers... Drugs and alcohol (not race) are almost always involved in cases where children are abused and neglected. When the family unit breaks down, the state proves to be very inept at monitoring and ensuring the children’s welfare – and that goes for just about any state.

I can't speak for Couric, but maybe you should read the article. The mother didn't lock them in the basement, and apparently the reason they were in this other woman's "care" is that the mother was severely injured in an automobile crash and hospitalized.

I am so tired of people saying that woman that strip for money in public, and other women who do other various "things" are not harming anyone and its a free country and they are adults and yada yada yada....

fact is, a substantial majority of exotic dancers and prostitutes are on drugs and need to do such degrading stuff to support their habits...children be damned...

there is no such thing as an activity that does not affect other people in some way...

I get so tired of people defending the business of prostitution and strip joints....

that activity does affect badly on a whole lot of people...unfortunately, its usually children...
