Quick question, How come they don't give out a 5th star anymore, and do you know who the last people were to get a 5th star?

If I remember correctly, MacArthur in Korea was the last action of a five star....although didn't Bradley survive the longest on active duty??
You would go asking history lessons.
Someone told me that because of the 5-star level that the only 6-star is Genr'l Washington. He was given his posthumously to ensure he would always be the highest ranking general ever.
Why don't they give it out anymore? Could it be because of the formation of JCS and CJCS?? I really don't know.
