I remember years ago before I knew what paintball was, I'd be driving by some field and see teenaged boys dressed in army fatigues hiding behind bushes with fairly real looking guns, then I'd see some other groups crouching up starting to sneak up on them and I didn't know what I was witnessing.
I think it's a good sport ---it gives kids something to do besides play video games and watch tv. It's all just healthy entertainment but maybe not for sissies because sometimes those paintballs can sting you.

You might have seen an "air soft" game in progress. All use replica weapons - M4 carbines. FN FAL and so on. Really look like the real item.
Our son enjoyed air soft games for several years. They played on private property, called the APD dispatcher before they started and posted signs by the road. BTW, several APD and Trooper play as well.
Is it worth the time?
Son just graduated from MCRD with EXPERT reating on M4....works for me!
A very pround Hoo- ah

Luke has been playing for 3 years but very little till I let them setup a field here in our redwoods. I fell very good about giving them a place to vent their urges that might get them in trouble. It is stunning the money involved in these "toys".
