Mass deportations of illegal aliens are not unconstitutional. Imprisonment or even the death penalty for those convicted of crimes are not unconstitutional. Defending the US is not unconstitutional. Where's your beef?

No, none of those are unconstitutional.

My "beef" is with some people here (no need to name them) that think it's okay to persecute Americans for worshipping Islam.

I am a Christian myself, so it's not my ox being gored.. but it does bother me to see so many FReepers just write off the First Amendment like this.

Freedom of Religion is a part of the founding of our nation. It's what keeps the US from being ever embroiled in these religious battles that are going on all around us as we speak.

PLUS, if you can do it to an American Muslim, you can do ti to an American Christian or American Jew. There is no difference but the religion in question.

This is a principled, moral, constitutional issue. It baffles me as to how so many FReepers got on the wrong side of it.
