I think that's a lot shorter path than trying to take back places like Notre Dame and Boston College, where so much ground has already been lost.
There is a way to wage war on places like Notre Dame and BC, especially if you're an alum. Nip around the edges, annoy them constantly with protesting letters, emails, and faxes, help choke off the alumni donation spigot by raising hell when the university sponsors something outrageous, and other such tactics. Since we have numerical superiority, we can overwhelm them and put them off their game--like we do to rogue newspaper writers raise our ire and get themselves Freeped.
Remember, every minute they spend responding to emails, letters, and all sorts of criticism is one less minute they can be making policy and corrupting the youth. Eventually, they'll have a nervous breakdown from being attacked so often. You should see how irate my father gets the ed board at the local newspaper. He copies all of them in on every email he sends complaining about their bias. And he sends several per week...
