No Big-10 team was going to win in the Orange bowl against a reasonably good team. Too hot and muggy. Tempe was in the low 60s with low humidity...OSU got a fair shake with the weather.

Oh, please. Now you're reaching for them. The weather? We're talking about a 14-0 team that started its season back in August. Playing football in Columbus during late summer-early fall isn't exactly paradise, either. Ever been there then? Its like the weather in DC, only 400 miles west.

If anything, the weather should have helped Miami. They're the fair-weather location, after all. The Bucks play in places like Madison and Ann Arbor in late fall. They like 'em cold up there...

Ummm. The Orange Bowl was Iowa/USC. Iowa was dead on their feet about 10 minutes into the 2nd quarter.

The Miami/OSU weather was a split favoring neither team.
