IS IT?
Mainstream Media Acknowledges Importance of Muslim Bloc Vote

A record number of Muslim first-time voters may have tipped the presidential election in George Bush's favor, according to a poll released yesterday by the Massachusetts chapter of the American Muslim Alliance. About 91 percent of Muslims in Florida cast ballots for Bush as part of an alliance endorsed voting bloc, said chapter chairman Tahir Ali, of Westborough. "The Muslims in America did have an impact in the presidential election this year." Ali said during an interview at the Islamic Center in Wayland. "If we had voted like we did in previous elections, guess who would be president right now? Al Gore." This was the first time the alliance, in conjunction with the American

This presidential election, the alliance conducted a massive voter registration drive and urged fellow Muslims to carefully consider the views of Vice President Al Gore and Texas Gov. George W. Bush. The organization urged Muslims to vote for Mr. Bush, particularly because of his position on the future status of Jerusalem and his overall views on matters of concern to the community.

Additionally, the alliance pushed Muslims to run for public office. Of the 700 that ran for local, state and federal offices, 152 won. Muslims captured an unprecedented number of seats ranging from state judgeships to city council slots.

Thanks for this redlipstick! I've been following it here in Tally for a couple of days now. Cotterell is a nice guy getting a bum rap. Too bad there is nobody around town sticking up for the guy. I just wonder if the Democrap will publish any of the letters/emails supporting Bill, now that this has gone national.

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one that doesn't read that rag...

The only way CAIR would consider this a "victory" is if the reporter is put to death.

Anything short of this is "anti-Muslim violence".

This reporter did not deserve a suspension for that. No way.

I disagree. He deserves the suspension because he apologized.

There are two pro-Cotterell letters in this morning's edition, and there are two anti-Cotterel.
The Tallahassee Democrat's version of "fair and balanced."

OTOH, there is a wonderful Marlette cartoon about it.
If I knew how to post images, I'd post it.

"Sounds like the "Protocols of the Elders of Islam" to me."

We still have the freedom of speech.

If half of those Islamic objectives are reached, places like freerepublic.com will be nothing more than a faint memory (if we are still alive).

It's no joke. Look around the world at what they have already done, then look at the direction we are heading in the U.S. as we speak . . . even Bush cowtows (fears) them.

Yes, BushBotism IS total BS. His 'Half-a-Loaf' policy on national security IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH. It has to stop, if we are to save our country from his continuous cave-ins on domestic and national security policies. We must hold his feet to the fire, rather than give him pats on the back when he is undeserving. We NEVER had to be or feel conflicted when Ronald Reagan was in the White House. Now, it gives me an ulcer to know we have such an unreliable champion as GWB, who is constantly going 'over-the-top' lying in defense of Islam to pander to its paltry voting bloc, or jollying along our 'Arab friends' for their infinitesimally miniscule 'support' in our Middle East operations. If he had just shut up about Islam, let some low-level flunky make the diplo-speak, and constantly focussed on his line 'Either you're are with us, or you're against us.' That would be forcing these guys to sweat and actually make changes. But when he, as our president, makes false statements, he preemptively cedes the core issue of what Islam ACTUALLY teaches vis-a-vis 'Infidels'. His attempt to coopt Islam, and hijack it away from the radicals, and reward 'liberal' Islam will always fail because of the specifically and openly-laid out plots in their scriptures against Christians and Jews, hence, these mistaken declarations showing GWB's great ignorance of their scriptures only encourages our enemies to do more of the same. They know they have GWB buffaloed...or in their view, that their 'Allah' has rendered him powerless to stop them. Time to call in the deprogrammers.

The not-so-subtle attacks by GWB against those who tell the truth, when he is labeling accurate historical statements 'bigotry' says just how far he will go to cover for the enemy...all the way. Taken at face value, he is delusionally wedded to the notion that since there are 'good' Muslims, that the religion at its core must be good, and so he draws no distinctions nor sees any differences. His April speech on 'compassionate conservatism' displayed the idealistically-confused mindset he has adamantly propagated since:

America rejects bigotry. (Applause.) We reject every act of hatred against people of Arab background or Muslim faith. (Applause.) We reject the ancient evil of anti-Semitism, whether it is practiced by the killers of Daniel Pearl, or by those who burn synagogues in France. (Applause.) America values and welcomes peaceful people of all faiths -- Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Sikh, Hindu and many others. Every faith is practiced and protected here, because we are one country.

This would all be fine in theory except it completely ignores the actual history of Islam, and glosses over the actual nature of the scriptures and teachings among the muslim community. He has gone out of his way to tell Muslims that they are 'peaceful' and no, would never be anti-semitic, and would never kill Daniel Pearl, or other jews. When in fact those devoutly practicing their scriptures...did. When he 'rejects every act of hatred against people of Arab background or Muslim faith' he makes it abundantly clear that the anti-profiling PC insanity which hobbled our airport and national security was not just due to the liberal democrat idiocy of Norm Mineta or RINO Tom Ridge...it was the liberal view of GWB himself. When either mainstream christians such as Falwell, Robertson, or Franklin Graham tell the unimpeachable historical truth about Muhammed and Islam's millenia-long reign of terror, he is unavoidably calling them bigots. His fuzzy-mindedness brings GWB's own scriptural understanding about christianity into question.

I don't see a single, solitary nation that can be counted as a U.S. "friend," with the limited exception of Great Britain.

The Canadians think Bush is an "imbecile," the rest of Europe thinks he is the biggest threat to world peace since...well, since the many, many threats to world peace that have come out of Europe during the past 2,000 years, and the rest of the world takes our money and spits in our face.

I have no use for any of them, which is why the sycophantic Israel "rah-rah" crowd disgusts me so.

No other nation has such a nauseatingly blinkered fan-club on FR.

? Weird. You are nuts if you think that. I have been here as long as you. I am merely stating flat out that Islam is indistinguishable from the evil we face, because it is in fact the well-spring for it all. You either don't know history or the Islamic scripture if you deny this. To continue to whitewash this particular religion, and equate it as if it was anonymously good, or synonomous with other religions is false, and if done in full knowledge of the falsity to delude America is just plain treasonous. The 'good muslims' to us, are muslims who by the lights of their faiths are 'BAD muslims'because they would in fact try and reject their scripture for its crazy hatreds or that of their mullahs and the pograms of jihad called for by the Koran and the Hadiths.

Any rate, note the latest missive from Jerry Falwell who decries the continuing disparate treatment by Establishment Media regarding recurring anti-christian Islamocide....
