Other phrases and words that are examples of this are: Homophobia, racism, sexism, family planning, social justice, choice, hate, hate speech, discrimination, etc, etc.
In Orwell's 1984 these kinds of short phrases and words are described as being engineered by the Party for the purpose of narrowing the scope of political thought. Why? So that the idea of an alternative to the political rule of the Party becomes impossible. When one controls the language, one controls the categories of thought, especially the categories of political thought.
Think about buzzwords that everyone is familiar with and ask yourself what political agenda is hidden in their meaning. There are hundreds of examples. Most of the political language in use today is what Orwell called Duckspeak because the words are endlessly repeated to express a rigid set of political ideas.
Because homosexuality is a gross perversion, a lie against the facts of life.
