I'm all for tax cuts in EVERY area. For the life of me though, I think this administration and its advisors took a STUPID PILL since they've not jumped all over taxing social security and haven't vowed to repeal this grossly unfair tax!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Talk about a missed opportunity... I'm just flat out dumb-founded they've totally missed this boat and if nothing else, realized the political windfall such a move would get the Bush administration Tsk, tsk...

I'm self-employed. As both my employer and my employee I pay both halves of my social security tax. This is actually a premium payment into the governments mandatory retirement program. You do not cut the premium payment on someone simply because they pay no other "tax" that can be cut. I don't get it? the people that pay no federal tax are wanting a tax cut? Who's taking the dummy pills? Isn't true the Social Security system is in peril? Cutting the premiums can only imperil it further. Of course the Dems want SS to fail so the Gov. can then step in and save the people. The ol' create a crisis then be the savior ploy.
