I confess to praying that God would enable the Buckeyes to play to the best of their abilities. I consider my prayers answered.

I'm 46. I was 12 when Kern, Stillwagon, Tatum, Otis, Brockington and the rest of the Immortals led the Buckeyes to a national championship at the expense of SC and OJ -- Heisman and all.

I questioned whether I would ever see such a great day again. I thank God that he has allowed me to live this long.

How fitting that this achievement came at the opening of Ohio's bicentennial. What a way for a proud state to inaugurate the celebration of 200 years of greatness.

It's not only appropriate that a believer be at the helm of Ohio State football, it's desperately needed. For the sake of these boys, thank God that Jim Tressel is the one helping to shape them into men.

Ohio State's AD recommended Tressel for the job. He was hired by the university's Board of Trustees. But in my judgment, the real appointment to that post was effected by a Being far more powerful than even Ohio State's Front Four.

I prayed that I got through that game! I had to walk away a couple times because it was so nerve-wracking. I expected a loss for OSU but when I saw how good they were playing, I was in awe and as excited for a game as ever. I forgot about Ohio Bicetennial and it is appropriate. I'm anxious about the Brown's game tomorrow and maybe I better start praying for the Bengals. It seems that only divine intervention will allow them to score, let alone win.
