Government shouldn't fund ANY political viewpoint. If you want Sesame Street and Barney, you pay the cost of production. Don't ask me or anyone else who doesn't want to watch it or advertise on it to do so.

That is an interesting point, though I don't exactly catch what liberal agenda Barney is aspousing these days.

What about that 11% of voters (on the front page) that oppose the Iraq war, should their money be spent funding the overtly political viewpoint we're sending into Iraq painted on the sides of GBU's and cruise missles?

The government is always going to put its money into things that you may or may not agree with, that doesn't make them wrong. How could it operate if each dollar was limited to apolitical uses? Seems like you'd do better to de-politicize NPR commentary rather than throwing out the baby with the bathwater.
