Averaging about two signatures a minute. PBS will be agenda item #1 in the new Congress at this rate.

Do I need (/humor)?Cant hurt! Does getting rid of NPR mean that Mara Liasson will no longer be on the Fox All Stars? That would be a bonus!

The liberal scum at NPR and PBS are continuing to demonize the GOP.
They don't think the Republicans and W will dare defund the taxpayer subsidized DNC propaganda machine.
Heres to hoping that they are wrong.

I contend that we NOT sign the petition. Even though both are lefties, it helps to know what the enemy is thinking. Remember the old adage, "Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer."
To: Libertina
Libertina, thanks for the ping. Now signed -- PBS never really quite lived up to its promise. It's become so bad I *never* tune into the Seattle affiliate (not that the TV is on much anyways...), whatever its call is.

I hate, despise, and disdain PBS/NPR, so I wish you good luck.
Just check out my home page However, signing a petition will do little other than make you feel better.
Pick up your phone and call (or write 'em) your congress critter if you want to be effective! One hundred Republicans voted to fund Public Broadcasting. Is your congress critter one?

No way, no how. It's a wasted effort, with all due respect. Drastic things don't happen in this country, and there are FReepers who'll tell you that's good and that's how the Founding Fathers wanted it. This battle has been fought before and has been lost. I think a better strategy would be to infiltrate it (them?) and take it (them?) over. It worked for the commies, it oughta work for us!

I think perhaps they need to learn how to fly on their own now... coming to the potluck party next Satuday, Eala?

Thanks for this. I'll send this link to as many like-minded folks as possible, and will also help you keep this thread bumped here on FR.
When and how will this get to Congress and President Bush?
