So what's the skinny on unemployment insurance? What is it that we and our employers pay for? (I dunno, I'm axing!) What happens to the moolah? It's easy to diss the unemployed while staying silent on the everlasting scandals of food stamps, federal housing, sugar and steel subsidies and all the other subsidies for the veggies and crops you didn't know ever existed and you'll never learn how to pronounce. Outta site, outta mind!

I've never heard of employee-paid-for unemployment insurance... only employer-paid-for unemployment insurance. Are you paying into an employee funded unemployment insurance plan?
