Hmmm, as an old 3rd ID "dog," (72-73) I didn't know the 24th Mech was folded in.... How does this work? Is the 24th a seperate brigade within 3rd?

The 24th Infantry Division was deactivated in 1996. The Mech Infantry Division at Fort Stewart, GA is now the 3rd Infantry Division. The Army basically changed the "colors", and renamed the division at Fort Stewart, GA.
