I've often wondered what happens to the inspectors when we move. If still in Iraq, they become hostages. If they all leave at once, we telegraph our intentions.

UN report on 1/27, next new moon 2/1 - very good timing. About 3:00 AM when their body functions are at their lowest and their response times are poorest.

He might. What if the bad guys have a New Year's surprise planned. It wouldn't really be a surprise. We've been told all along to expect something to happen. Clearly they know more than we do.

After having decided to go the UN inspections route, this would be ill advised. IMO, GW will wait for the report (expected 27 Jan). He will then announce that Iraq is in material breach (with some disclosure of evidence) prior to attacking on 30 Jan (new moon).
