We're already going back for seconds (Iraq), and Palestine may turn up on the menu yet.

You are right there. As I have been saying for some time now, Palestine is coming up on the agenda and the evacuation of the settlements, is also on the agenda. There will be a great whew and cry when the lines to which there will be a roll back, is broached...

As I have been saying for some time now, Palestine is coming up on the agenda and the evacuation of the settlements, is also on the agenda.

The Israelis will give up most of the settlements for a genuine peace agreement. That much is clear. That much has been clear for the last decade at least. But they won't give them up, and shouldn't, except in the context of peaceful negotiation.

Israel is on board with land for peace. The entire freakin' NON-ARAB world is on board with land for peace. We're all just waiting for the Palestinians to get over their land for murder obsession.

I hope they come around soon. They might not have long. As I have been saying for some time now, the Israelis are eventually going to get tired of waiting and will eventually impose a demarcation unilaterally. When this happens most of the settlements will be annexed to Israel proper, and the Palies will be left with much less than they could have acheived by negotiation. They will have no one but themselves to blame. (Although they will blame the jooos anyway.)

There will be a great whew and cry when the lines to which there will be a roll back, is broached...

Real peace will be painful for both sides. I sincerely hope it is acheived, because it will be the lesser pain.
