Sharon: Iraq may be Transferring Weapons (Fox News)
JERUSALEM Sharon said that Israel has information that "weapons he (Saddam Hussein) wanted to hide, chemical weapons, biological weapons, were indeed transferred to Syria."
He said that the information has not been fully verified. "We have some information to that effect. We are now working to confirm the information," he told Israel TV's Channel 2 in an excerpt of a program broadcast on the nightly news.
In the excerpt, Sharon did not indicate where the information came from or what form it took.
Israel has been preparing for the possibility of Iraqi retaliation in case of a U.S.-led assault against Iraq. During the 1991 Gulf War, Iraq fired 39 Scud missiles at Israel, causing considerable damage but few casualties.
Israel has vaccinated emergency and rescue workers against smallpox, concerned that Iraq might use the disease in a biological attack. Almost every day, the military's Home Front Command carries out widely publicized drills to practice dealing with missile attacks of various kinds.

Most of us have adapted to the stressful international situation present since the 50s without acquiring permanently disabling neuroses. But if those parties wishing us harm care to face us at this time, this can all be resolved one way or the other right nowI don't know of anyone who has even temporary neuroses regarding geopolitics, only a blinding hatred for the world of trouble Clinton seems to have handed his predecessor. And I never fear that the US will not prevail in whatever we set out to do.

We should have started out with Syria.
We owe them for the Beirut bombing in the eighties that they allowed to be panned and from their territory.
Not to mention that if we had Syria under our control, we wouldnt have to ask anyone else for bases to go after Iraq. And the main reason is that Syria has been the home base of terrorists for the last 40 years.
But I'm sure the UN would be real upset. We can't have that.

Saddam transferred weapons to Syria for concealment
Gideon Alon
Ha'aretz Correspondent, and Ha'aretz Service
Saddam Hussein transferred chemical and biological weapons to Syria that Iraq wanted to hide, according to information Israel has received, Prime Minister Ariel Sharon said Tuesday evening. Sharon, who spoke on Channel Two, said Israel was checking the information.
Also Tuesday, Labor spokesmen said that remarks made earlier in the day by Military Intelligence chief Major General Aharon Ze'evi (Farkash) on a possible United States attack on Iraq indicate that Sharon and his aides are using the issue to sow fear in the Israeli public and deflect its attention from the police investigation on irregularities in the Likud primaries.
Ze'evi told the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee that he expects the United States to attack Iraq in the beginning of February, shortly after the American government reviews the United Nations inspectors' weapons report expected to be presented by January 27.
Ze'evi also said that in contrast with the 1991 Gulf War, Iraq has not issued particularly harsh statements against Israel. Instead, Iraq has issued general statements saying that it will attack whomever attacks it first.
Labor chairman Amram Mitzna said that, "Sharon is sowing seeds of war" and that "the photographs in which he is pictured with gas masks are a political spin, and are the seeds of war scattered by [Arthur] Finkelstein to create headlines that will shift attention away from corruption in the Likud."
According to Haim Ramon, who is the Chairman of the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, and who also serves on Labor's information committee, Sharon's visit to a Home Front Command base on Monday was part of a campaign tour. Ramon said that it is known that the chances of Iraq hitting Israel are low, and therefore the public's feeling of panic should be reduced.
Ze'evi also said that Al-Qaida has changed its pattern and is now focusing on Jewish and Israeli targets.
UN sources said this week that Iraq's account of its weapons arsenal failed to include information on 6,000 chemical warfare bombs. The account of the missing bombs, contained in the so-called "Air Force document," first came to light in July 1998. A UN inspector saw the six-page document and took a few notes before it was snatched from her hands during a 16-hour inspection search and standoff at the Air Force headquarters.
After withholding the Air Force document since then, Iraqi officials handed it over to a UN inspector in Baghdad on November 30. But Iraq gave no explanation for the missing weapons in its cover letter or in the 12,000-page weapons declaration submitted a week later, the sources said.

No wonder Saddams so arrogant.
Heck, with Democrat meddeling in the affairs of adults, it gave him plenty of time to hide everything.
No kidding, the Democrats will be the death of us all someday if they manage to stay in power. Clinton almost( or may still have) done us in.
The 2002 election was a God send.

You have beat me too it, sure enough. Isa 17 and other Bible prophecies say this move whatever might have been planned, will sweep on west and southwest into Syria, Lebanon, Palestine, Egypt, and Sudan, Libya, Horn of Africa, who knows?
Isa 14 also key. See Isa 30, it refers to the "great slaughter caused by the collapse of the two towers."
Never before, never again, it is fulfilled 9-11-01.

I don't think Sharon would announce he had bought a new suit, unless it had been cleared with Washington and it was wanted by them, for him to announce it.
This is for Arab consumption, to show them their every hair is numbered.

Syria needs to be added to the Axis of Evil immediately.

See Isa 30, it refers to the "great slaughter caused by the collapse of the two towers." <
That isn't what the searchable KJV says:
ISA 30:25 And there shall be upon every high mountain, and upon every high hill, rivers and streams of waters in the day of the great slaughter, when the towers fall.
It doesn't say how many towers in that version. What is your source?
