I believe you. I don't doubt that Beck shot that cop. I heard there was doubt but never heard the end-result. This story went away (on a national level) two days after it happened.
I swear, I have no sympathy for Beck. But why do ATF raids always have to end in a burned-out house with all available evidence destroyed? This is something that looks really bad even if they weren't trying to cover anything up.

This was not a raid. It was a couple of cops knocking on someone's door. It was only after Beck killed the cop that things turned ugly.
The reason these houses burn to the ground is because when the tear gas is tossed in, if a homeowner decides to save his life, he exits the house, hands in the air and then the firefighters move in.
The killers who refuse to surrender, burn to death.
There isn't an easy answer to all the scenarios. No size fits all.
