Personally, I've never heard of Resist. I just did the Google search and looked at their home page. Looks kinda like a small cadre of people that link to other 'progressive' organizations.

That was my impression as well. Hardly the type of situation where a deep-pockets organization like the so-called Pew "Charitable" Trust was found to be making substantial grants to BAN or the other ratbag organizations mentioned in the article.

Which was pretty much the gist of my original contention about Sierra Times - they are experts at trying to build a mountain out of what is probably the smallest molehill on the prairie. Others in this thread insisted on going down rabbit trails about them, so I had to oblige them.

I'm into fund-raising and giving away grants on a small scale, but my knowledge is limited.

Same here. But I think I can state with some confidence that Resist Inc. is not a major player in the grant biz. A website does not a major political presence make.

On the other hand, I've been watching the Derechos Humanos activities as they've been reported on, and I'm not happy with what they're trying to do.

Same here. Last time I checked, the "homeland" extended as far south as California, Texas, Arizona, etc. Where is the "homeland security" for these states?

Ahhh, back to the crux of the matter! Homeland Security for these states resides in the formation of citizens' groups that patrol and protect property from trespassers and such.
