I highly recommend this voting site, folks. I've posted there for a long time now, and they're very good. The discussion area is still down for maintenance, unfortunately, but this is at least one way of getting your point across on this issue.
Many thanks.

you don't demand an apology from the weatherman for telling you there will be rain on the 4th of July.
Bin Laden is loved by these people for a reason, America doesn't exist in a vacuum, we can't ignore why the rest of the world works the way it does.
If Bin Laden didn't do nice things for these people, they wouldn't murder Americans for him. If we did nice things for them, they would ignore Bin Laden and his anti-American message

Apologize? Try resign. Anyhow, voted.
Another poll at this link. Think many FReepers have been there already. Asks if Patty Murray should resign.
Poll Link Here
Definately need to keep the pressure on Murray for at least an apology. She is getting off very light. Issued a non-apology apology. Why should she do more - the media barely mentioned her comments. Must be nice to get a pass on everything by CBSNBCABCCNNMSNBC if you are a Demorat.

Should Sen. Patty Murray Apologise? You Decide!I hope she doesn't. I hope the Dems keep adhereing to their hypocrisy and double standards. Makes it that much easier to craft attack ads against them come the next election.

Trent Lott insulted Black Americans. Murray insulted ALL Americans, including Black Americans. What Murray said is far more reprehensible.

PING! This poll doesn't need freepin' as it's presently 98 percent to 2 percent, but heck why not!?

Of course Patty Murray should apologize -- for whatever that's worth, but I don't think she should be forced to resign from the Senate. That would set a dangerous precedent.
Like it or not, we still have the First Amendment. Anyone can say anything he likes, as long as it doesn't cause direct harm (like yelling "Fire!" in a crowded theater).
Congress is a Theater of Ideas if you will. We can't let ourselves get into the business of suppressing ideas and opinion -- no matter how absurd and disagreeable -- and remain a free people.
If everyone who made stupid remarks and favored ideas not in the best interests of this country were forced to resign from the government, Washington would turn into a ghost town overnight.
If everyone would just stop trying to MANIPULATE the outcome of every political decision and agree to let the chips fall where they may, I have a feeling we'd be very pleased with the results.

This woman makes me ashamed to admit I live in Washington. She's as dumb as a bag of hammers.
