"Wow!! I did not know you could click on them and make it that life like and detailed." What is so incredible to me about these pics is that they are actual photographs taken almost 100 years ago and they are so amazingly detailed.
Of course, color photography was extremely rare when they were taken, but the digital color enhancement really brings out the reality of the moment in these pics.
It's as if they were taken yesterday.

I agree. Look at the colors and the expressions on their faces. Even the crumbling and cracking of the walls.

I've seen this before from a post here a long time ago. The photos are just as breath taking. It is such a pity the great empire was destroyed by Western "intellectuals". World history would have been so different if only the Tsars had remained.
