Really, how could we expect anything else from government educrats, people who believe:

That there is no such thing as objective truth;
That all matters are political, and that there is no entirely private sphere whatsoever;
That reality is "socially constructed";
That measurable facts are irrelevant if they contradict someone's opinions or offend someone's feelings;
That any means is justified if it conduces toward their preferred ends.

There is no longer any excuse for allowing a defenseless child to languish in the grip of the government-run school system. Don't agonize over the cost of private schools or the "loss" of your property taxes. Don't weep about how important your wife's income is to your family budget. We're talking about your children's minds and souls.

Get them out. Now.
