"I place very little value on children born into these circumstances. So to answer your question, yes, a safe, legal abortion should be encouraged to seventeen year-old, unwed, future welfare recipient Ebony. Society will benefit in the long run. So will Ebony."

You get my vote for "Schmuck-of-the-Post". Meathead. It's fortunate for you that your parents obviously didn't share your idiotic opinions......

"It's like shutting the barn door after the horse got out."

You're right. And only a complete idiot would then go after the horse and kill it.

Sorta ends the "it's just a blob of tissue" argument, doesn't it?

Yes. Pro-abort acolytes who still want to express their adherence to the religion of "fetal blobism" would now look like mindless fools.

Good continuation of the analogy.

Is that you, Ebenezer? Because your arrival is quite timely, in light of what you said in A Christmas Carol - "If they would rather die, then they had better do it and decrease the surplus population."

I guess you missed the part that said how the baby actually motivated Ebony to study harder and graduate, how she is enrolling in college and marrying the father of her child next year. And no telling what trauma an "encouraged" abortion might have caused her. But I guess that doesn't matter in the long run, right, as long as a child of such little value wasn't allowed a chance to prove you wrong.

By the way, LITTLE VALUE??? Who are you to make that speculation? And how many productive, valuable citizens have we lost as a nation over the last 30 years due to abortion? Unfortunately we will never know.

Bah humbug!

Abortions are NOT safe.

Bingo!

Abortion Nearly Four Times Deadlier Than Childbirth

Thanks for that one! My family and I just saw a local production of A Christmas Carol, and it was the first thing that came to mind when I read Drew68's "little value" comment.

QUESTION: Can someone please explain to me why a young woman would choose abortion over carrying the child to term and putting it up for adoption?

Somebody who knows a lot about abortion, I don't remember who argues:
*Given that: Women today have been brainwashed into believing that having a baby at the wrong time results in the woman's death. That is, death to their dreams, hopes, futures, education, better life.
*Given that: Women believe that giving a baby up for adoption is death to the child. That is, death to her son/daughter, because she will lose him and he will not be her son anymore. Death to their child because she is giving him up into an uncertain future.
*There are three choices.
1) Abortion: --> 1 death-->The baby dies.
2) Keeping the child--> 1 death-->The mother dies.
3) Adoption --> 2 deaths-->Throught the nine months, her baby is growing and is killing her(that is one death by adoption). Then, when she gives him up for adoption, the baby dies(that's the second death by adoption).
Therefore, adoption is the least desirable choice be it causes more deaths than eiher abortion or keeping the child

Margaret Sanger was opposed to abortion. She advocated for birth control, and did so partly on on eugenic grounds.

As early as 1914 Margaret Sanger was promoting abortion, not for white middle-class women, but against 'inferior races' — black people, poor people, Slavs, Latins, and Hebrews were 'human weeds'.

In reality there is only one choice. Kill the baby.

That's what "choice" means. The baby is already alive and full on its way to being born. To say you have other choices is like saying you'll choose to keep breathing today. It's fantasy, and a thinly veiled temporal escape from a real conscience.

Anyone that murders deserves pain. That's the whole point of pain. Pain's statement is, "don't do that".

QUESTION: Can someone please explain to me why a young woman would choose abortion over carrying the child to term and putting it up for adoption?

Is is the discomfort/pain of pregnancy and childbirth? The altered body?

Ya think? Hahah....
I heard of things that happen or are triggered when some woman have babies. One girl I know was bedridden for the last 3 months and her eyes ended up bulging out of her head ...and never went back in. It was so hard to look at her....she was so depressed. SHe avoided everyone....very sad. I know of another girl...who actually got leukemia....which I think was triggered by her pregnancy.(MY opinion). I also heard of diabetes being triggered by getting pregnant. I'll bet alot of things are triggered.... not to mention the puffiness and discomfort and pain I hear about and umcomfortableness I see. I worked with a girl about 4 years ago who had her first...they were going to have 3...after she had the first, she said she's done. She was miserable...couldn'walk...and she had a hard labor. I'm sure the majority of the woman have no problems...but just like some vaccines...there is a risk.
Anyway...those should be excellent birth control reasons if you ask me. :)
