Show me one "all or nothing" type. They are a figment of your imagination. Each and every one is a "take what we can get" type. Trouble is...after twenty-plus years of rock-ribbed Republican support all they've GOT is nothing...thanks to allies like you. Rove understands they won't enjoy support like that forever without giving the pro-lifers a victory, at which point your 537 are going to be meaningless rather than useless.

Show me one "all or nothing" type.

The brooding 4.5 million you mentioned. They obviously voted "Nothing"...And almost gave us President Gore. But we Broken Glass Republicans were right there, saving the day, contributing...Ensuring we WIN. We were there, along with a lot of women (And men) who were convinced that while 'Pro-Life", President Bush was NOT going to make abortion illegal.

And these 4.5 million "All or NOTHING" whiners are still getting their judges and many of their bills presented and/or passed...Even thougg they QUIT on us. Personally, I wish I could wave a magic wand and make Clinton their President for LIFE. That would serve them RIGHT!

Merry Christmas.

Either way is light years better than the hard-core anti-abortion freaks who do nothing but SCREAM "ALL OR NOTHING" and scare women away from the GOP, thus hurting their own cause.
... thus scaring them away from conservative government and causes, and giving control of the government BACK TO the liberals.

I agree with you............

What...are you french or something? It's only obvious with 20/20 hindsight and when your intent is to castigate those people rather than understand the dynamic.

Where are these bills and judges you claim we're getting?

By your reasoning, the guy that murders his parents should get mercy from the court because he's an orphan.

How do you expect to change hearts and minds when you agree in principle with the hearts and minds you profess to want to change?

The brooding 4.5 million were there in the past and it got them nothing. You weak kneed types kept selling them out to the Democrats. And now you have the cheek to criticize them for withdrawing support. All that ignoring the fact you have no more claim on those 537 clinch voters than I do. I've also voted straight Republican, no exceptions, despite the presense of you Bob Michael types, and I'm not about to criticize pro-lifers who've given up on the pubbies.

If I had that magic wand of yours, I'd grant you your wish and let you go up against the democrats without "us" and see how well you fare.

Exactly how would you propose a compromise? Don't forget to define "human life."

Yep it's amazing! I got to see the first one and the last one... the middle one I didn't have insurance that covered ultrasound and everything was normal anyway.

QUESTION: Can someone please explain to me why a young woman would choose abortion over carrying the child to term and putting it up for adoption?

Cuz her priorities are royally screwed up.

I'll leave the definition of "Human Life" to those much smarter than me. At this point, some of those people (The Supreme Court) have decided that women have the right to have an abortion.

That's why I argue that we need to "Change the Hearts and Minds" of women who do want to have an abortion...Teach them that the right thing to do is to not have one.

Screamng at them and calling them baby killers is not going to change their minds...Just scare them.

And you want to know the bottom line?

The right of a woman to have an abortion is NEVER going to be overturned. EVER! Thus, the NEED to "Change their hearts and minds".

The Pro-Life movement simply does not have enough support...And NEVER will. People in general may not like the idea of abortion but they do like the idea of having it available as an option. Therefore it will NEVER be "Outlawed". And anyone who is honest with themselves will agree with that.

Oh I don't know. There is a time and place for everything.

I agree, hearts and minds need to be changed. But the change takes place in areas so much more encompassing than just the topic of reproduction. I don't know how we're supposed to do that when the foundations are crumbling, do you? I figure it's about time a large mountain fell into the sea and turned a third of the waters bitter, myself. And even that and all that follows won't change their minds.

Have Crisis Pregnancy Centers encourage male participation with respect to volunteers/counselors and those given services

Have the pro-life movement abandon the Harlequin novel idea that unexpected/unplanned pregnancies involve some cad who deserted his female partner.

Include dads at church social/family functions (which are often scheduled mid-day).

Encourage the pro-life movement to support fathers as childcaregivers.
