There's a verse in the Book of Isaiah that says: "Children are their oppressors, and women rule over them." Technology changes, people don't. When men get weak, pain comes in waves.

Isaiah chapter 3. Just looked it up. I don't know that I'd read that part of the Bible before, but it does seem to fit society pretty well.
