There are literally dozens of police officers and security people at the entrance to every terminal...what a maroon!
Yes, I have flown, and we're going again in a month. So what? You do what is asked whether you think it's stupid or not. You keep your trap shut and you get on the plane. Big deal.
They asked me to remove my shoes. They asked to hold my arms out at 90 degree angles from my body so they could wave the wand around the contour of my body. They had my kids and their friends remove shoes, belts, etc. That's the way it is and if you act like an idiot, they are gonna eat your lunch.
