Nothing lasts forever, but the USA can last a hell of a lot longer if people would put forth the tiniest bit of effort. The fact is that our national identity and national sovereignty are being deliberately euthanized by the ruling elites who control both political parties, and this is, IMO, the most amazing "Elephant in the drawing room" which everyone politely pretends is not there. Well, reality can only be avoided for so long, and then it will be back with a vengence. To talk as though this destruction of our country is "inevitable" is ridiculous. It is not inevitable. It is being deliberately engineered.
