Yeah, that's all you race-baiting disrupters have been trying to do on this thread

Do you know I am really beginning to get a picture here.

When we have a thread on immigration, we try to discuss what the thread is about - either work, SS, welfare, education or just border problems. There are some 3 or 4, some very recent, who have this outline for disrupting discussion.

First,they come on and post

how hard these people work, and they really just come here for the freedom of America.
How they are all honest Christian people who will vote Republican
How much taxes they pay, (you know, they pay the same taxes as anyone else), Oh, and don't forget all the billions and billions they have paid in they the SS can't find and, after all, it must be illegal iliens who will never get the benefit of those billions
How beautiful they keep this country (from sea to shining sea) and we would be knee deep in our own lawns and unpicked lettuce were it not for the illegals
They are needed here to shore up SS because we all all getting older and have no one to pay into the SS.
Business would grind to a halt without them
They keep the prices down - we could not afford to buy that unpicked lettuce or strawberries if they were not here.
They do not take jobs from Americans - they do the jobs Americans won't do
They don't take welfare
There's more and new ones everytime.

Now when we refute those statements one by one each time - then they begin with the

'We're a nation of immigrants.
You just don't like immigrants - you want to deny access to America to any immigrants
my grandfather was an immigrant - how dare you.

Now keep in mind, we are discussing illegal immigration - but when the fallacies regarding illegal immigration are pointed out - then they pretend we have been discussing legal immigration all along. When we show them that is not the case they,

You are just a racist
You don't like brown skinned people admit it
You are a bigot
I hate to tell you, but Mexicans have lived in the Southwest since before the white man came - (a fact we just did not know- right?)
You just don't like people who speak another language - well make it easy on yourself and learn the language (making the assumption none of us already speak the language)
More and more vitriol

Now our mistake is in giving them the time of day in the first place. HOw do you respond to a charge of RACISM? You can't. All you can do is show how ignorant and evil people are who make the charge in connection with anything that affects our country. They can find racism in anything - believe - if they can't 'find' it, they will invent it. Of course, the silly thing is, they don't know what our ethnicity is, or that of our family members - you see it doesn't matter - they know it is untrue - but truth is not the issue with them. Now when you attempt to point out certain facts they begin childish taunts and childish retorts. The problem with us - we are actually attempting to have a discussion on something that is vital to the survival of this country and they are just attempting to distrupt and get us off track.

Some of these must have come straight out of the James Carville Book of Personal Destruction and Outright Lies
