I'm all for limiting Mexican immigration, especially with an eye towards security issues.

I'm saying that limiting it in the way we do doesn't work. At best, it works the best we can. Once you admit the fact that not even a National Guardsman every two feet can stop it (have you heard of Miami), you might take a more realistic view of these things.

We have enormous pressure on immigration. Just look at the price of labor here as compared to Mexico. The more we press, the higher the wages for illegals. The higher the wages for illegals, the more they come. Just like drugs. Without the WOD, coke would go for 2 bucks a gram. Same goes with illegals. If you look at it this way, you will understand that we are doing a good job with a bad situation.

You need to accept that the world is not perfect. Mexicans are not the cause of our problems.

My complatint is against weighted legal immigration for countries that have nothing to do with the U.S. and against those countries from whose people we would benefit. I said it before, the problem is not illegal immigration. Like the tax code, human behavior is not unnafected by law.

I'm aware of both points all too well, but I must say that a certain Mexican (my girlfriend) is causing me some big problems right now (about my being on the internet for too long). Perhaps we'll pick up on the economics of the problem another time. Adios.
