Then I suggest you find some cordiality and kindness for another human being who obviously suffered immensely in her life and stop passing judgement on her.

She has personally passed judgement on you? So you have called her show, fascinating.

funny how some refuse to see the change in someones life and only want to harp about all the "bad" things which are, as we all know, part of her past. My personal theory is that if we allow that people can change it means that we have no excuse for our own bad behavior.
Now granted barring a head injury or a profound religious experience I have never seen someone drastically change but it is possible. So the flaws in my own character are there because I lack the discipline and will to change them. I am not sure I care for that but what is, is.

"God's word" shows up in a lot more contexts and a lot more dictionaries than just the Holy Bible. True.....but....you were quoting the HOLY BIBLE....so i was replying in that context....you either believe his words to the exclusion of ALL others or you don't...........

The police arent even sure if this is her mother yet, but somehow DR. Laura knows already. The first thing I thought of when I heard this story yesterday was that Laura is the prime suspect.

"moral vanity for someone else".
Call it what you want, you seem to want to control the tone of what this thread is all about...go for it.
Nice screen name, it suits you to a T. Betcha you've got tons of friends, LOL!

I have never seen someone drastically change but it is possible. obviously you have never spent time in the "recovery community" (AA etc.). People don't stay in recovery from their addictions unless they give up the dysfuntional behaviors that helped lead them their in the first place........

People don't stay in recovery from their addictions unless they give up the dysfuntional behaviors that helped lead them their in the first place........ That was my point. You cant just want to stop drinking or whatever you have to change your entire way of being. Usually that involves a religious experience of some kind. There are very few other things that can change some one that much.

"she looked pretty good in all those naked pictures the guy she was cheating on her husband with took."If that is a true story, that is a shame. Be carefull how you accuse, just because you saw some "pitchures" on the internet, doesn't necessarily make it true. Got anything to back that up with?
To: AllSmiles
The fact that the mother was not found for months indicates that she didn't have a relationship with anyone else, either. Someone with even one friend would have been found much sooner. Imagine if something happened to you; how long would it take for others to notice you were gone?
Example: My husband has been out of town for a month. Our car, ordinarily parked in the driveway, had to go in for repairs, and I was using the car we keep in the garage. I received a call from my neighbor a few days ago, asking if I was OK, because they hadn't seen me or my car for the past few days. How nice is that!

Mocking death is bad karma and shows no class.
To: ican'tbelieveit
So you have called her show Meaningless comparison not based on fact - criticism of a public figure does not equal consumption of that figure's product.
You likely drank water some time today. Hitler drank water too, SO THAT MEANS YOU SUPPORT KILLING JEWS!!! AHHHHHHH!!!!!! AHHHHHHH!!!!!!
How does it feel when someone else does it to you?

As an ex navy/marine corpsman, and also living in a funeral home as caretaker for 8 years while going to college, I seen more death than you ever will.
I have watched people die. I have participated in autopsies and embalmings.
You make think it gallows humor. But it goes with the territory.
It keeps you sane.
But thanks for your churlish lecture.

True.....but....you were quoting the HOLY BIBLE....so i was replying in that context....you either believe his words to the exclusion of ALL others or you don't........... So any criticism of Dr. Laura is an attack on the Holy Bible? Get some rest, seriously. And, you've used your quota of periods for the day.

You must take this bbs and the posters here very seriously. I was treating somebody else who apparently felt personally threatened by words on an Internet forum less than seriously. Guess I'll have to provide the same consideration to you.
