Goodness wins, re reading Eisenhauer's Farewell Address, yes, I did read that part. And nowhere in my comment did I ever once suggest that the military was not necessary to our peace and security. However, did you read the rest of Eisenhauer's address? He suggests going on the type of humanitarian offensive I am suggesting. It's a common sense, fiscally intelligent thing to do. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.
