Even the leftist Atlanta Journal & Constitution admitted that the flag issue was of little importance in Perdue's win over King Roy Barnes. Barnes worked hard at pissing off large parts of the electorate (notably, teachers), and lost as a result.

The neo-Confederates like to think the flag was the reason why; while it had an impact, it was way down on the list.

Personally, I hope we find a way to revert back to two flags ago.

You all make me want to laugh, so many people, both the Democrats you are talking and those of you posting here, talking about something you know so little about.

I just find this so hilarious.

I have lived in Georgia all my life and I just think with this statement that the Democrats are just digging themselves into a deeper hole.

I know why the last election played out like it did. I would tell you, but I have better things to do than to argue with a wall of ignorance.

Now the previous Georgia flag did play a part in how the last election turned out, a smaller part than what the Democrats claim, but larger part than what some of you here claim.

I don't know about you all, but I for one have got a good laugh from this thread.

Good point. Or why not a push to ban all flags of nations that have slavery today? The answer is, of course, that is much easier to follow the crowd and pile on the South and Southerners. Now Hilldebi**h is trying to paint the entire GOP as racists (who didn't see that coming), and the lilly-livered Pubbies still aren't fighting back. Doesn't inspire much confidence, does it?
