Issaquahking: Enjoyed learning about your experiences in Alaska. I only had the opportunity to visit that glorious place one tme.....we spent a week in Sitka working at a college as volunteers for our church; then another week exploring Juneau and taking a cruise to Glacier Bay.
Congratulations to today's Finest.....Issaquahking
Here's a photo of Glacier Bay:

You are too kind, Daisy, but I can't take credit where it does not belong. This is my first time helping with the thread, (except for my daily shining presence lol) and I only helped put together the story from Issaquah. It's Finest people like you, Dansangel, Billie, Mama_Bear and others who post and create such wonderful graphics who do the "heavy lifting". (my goal for later :) Thanks to all you "buff" ladies!

Beautiful custom made graphic you did for IssaquahKing today... Thank you, Daisy. I notice that you always make a point of commenting on the congratulations graphics that I do. That's so sweet of you. :-)

Hi Amy!!!
You were the first freeper I ever got freep mail from! Thanks for an intro to FR. Yes, we can never let our guard down against the left. Freedom is never free. Thankfully we have the absolute very best Forces in the world - past and present. They guard from invasion by known enemy, we'll fight the greenies... but our weapon is knowledge and educating their children!

Hi Julie. I just have to jump into to your Alaska conversation with IssaquahKing. I wonder if the college you mentioned in Sitka is where Michener stayed while he was writing his novel "Alaska"? I seem to recall hearing something about that. When we were there we could see the college from a distance but didn't have time to go there. We enjoyed touring the town and seeing the artifacts at St. Michael's Cathedral. But, my favorite place of all was Ketchikan. We were fortunate to be there on one of the very few days of sunshine that they get during the year. I had just finished reading Alaska before we took our cruise and it made the visit to those towns so much more interesting.
IssaquahKing, you come from some strong stock. I admire the pioneer spirit and fortitude of people like your parents. I probably would not last through the winter in Alaska, but it certainly is a beautiful place to visit.
