Chalk me up as another pro-lifer who wants to see Lott on a back bench. If Frist has the best shot of replacing Lott, so be it. Lott has sold his soul to BET, as ML he would be even more ineffective than before.

Fox News reports Lott will announce in 13 minutes that he will NOT stand for Majority Leader. He's backing down.

"The law would have to include the exceptions. I would support a law that prohibited abortion except in those cases."

Here's my question: Who decides?

Who makes the call? Have you ever heard of doctors in your area that will sign off on whatever prescription you want as a competitive advantage for them? Considering there are roughly 4,500 babies murdered each day just in America with on a single digit percentage of them involving r,i, or ml, I seriously pose this question. Who decides?

I thought it might be Friday before Christmas. Less focus over the weekend and with the holiday upon us.

So his family is directly or indirectly involved in infanticide.

If you own mutual funds, you are likely directly or indirectly involved in infanticide, according to the standards that you apply to Dr. Frist.

BTW, FNC just reported that LOTT HAS AGREED TO RESIGN.

He's uncompromisingly pro-life.

His support of Frist greatly undermines that claim.

"Why are you trying to equate fundamental Islamists with fundamental Christians?"

Isn't that precious? Pure light and love versus midnight darkness and hate, diametrically opposed. Classical ignorance.

When Republicans win a 2/3 majority in the Senate then we can afford the luxury of this kind of an infantile attack on the party by the single issue holier than thou 'everyone else is a RINO' crowd. Until then let's get behind Frist and get this agony over with and the agenda back on track

"Hello, we can't take your call right now, but if you'd like to leave a message, Sen. Lott is eager to genuflect for you as soon as possible. Oh, and, if this is Tommy D. calling, Trent will be home around supper time accepting visitors. Thanks for calling, Lotts."

Bill Frist is a Moderate Conservative.

A Rino. Great. That's all we need. Might better keep Lott! What's the diff?
I like Nichols. We need some real conservatives in there. Screw the "middle of the road to help Democrats win elections " crap.

Frankly if we judge Frist in this manner, then all of us are going to be stained with the sin of abortion.

Huh?

Are you saying that all who opposed Hitler were guilty of his murdering of millions?

I believe that anyone who calls themselves a "Christian" and supports a person who is pro-abortion shares in the guilt of the murder of children.

Yeah, it's amazing how Bush clamors for the conservative voters and when he gets them he repays their faithfulness by stabbing them in the back with moderate/liberal choices for leaders.

This will certainly backfire on him.

Who decides what?

I don't understand your question.

Who decides what the law will read? Is that what you're asking?

And what kind of evil person are you? :-)

I'm an "evil Christian, holier-than-thou, pro-lifer" in the mold of Ronald Reagan and one who is hated by the left and those who hug the middle-of-the-road.
