Thank you for your defense of New York State, especially upstate. Indeed, Hadenuf does need to educate himself about NY.

Sitting at my desk, I can look out on 1700 acres of beautiful Sugar Maple covered woodlands, where 4 deer just walked across our creek and through our woods. As far as I'm concerned upstate NY is the best kept secret in the U.S.

Few people know that the Catskill Mtns. are home to the birth of Fly Fishing, The Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, excellent deer and wild turkey hunting and an area where the wild ginseng still flourishes under our ever-increasing forested land.

The fall of the year is absolutely beautiful! Land is affordable and the people are friendly. Where else can you buy 100 acre farm with a 150 year old house, creeks, deer, bear, coyotes, trout fishing and wild turkey hunting for $100,000?

New York City is a country within itself and does not represent the balance of the state. In fact, I have been there once in 13 years and it's only a 4 hour drive from where I sit.

Check out this site to learn more about our area http://www.catskillcenter.org/region.html

Hillary does make her occasional rounds upstate and we enjoy reading about how she gets heckled when she does stick her snout in our neck of the woods. One local tractor dealer advertised the "Hillary Special" on his new sh*t spreader, just in time for her arrival in his hometown of Oneonta, NY.

Upstaters are very conservative and hard-working folks. Good folks whose roots go back to the very beginning of our nation's fight for Independence.

Guns? We've got plenty of 'em and the only restriction is that you have to be "permitted" to own a handgun. NYC is a different story. You have to be a criminal in order to own one.

Thanks again for standing up for NY!

Born and raised on L.I. many summmers spent upstate, went to Pratt Instite in Brooklyn. You are right about NYC being a state all by itself. Not only politically but psychologically as well. I love NY, but live in Houston, Texas for the last 6 years.
