I was dragged, kicking and screaming to this movie. I thought that the first one was bad, but I had no idea just how bad it could get until last night. 3 hours of my life are gone and the only thing I can be thankful for is that I did not have to waste my money seeing it.

I never read the books but my friend is a big fan of them. Both of us came away severely disappointed.

You say that the pacing was fast, I found it horribly slow and extremely choppy.

I will not go and see the third movie no matter what and if my friend tries to the guilt trip thing over it, I would rather not ever talk to them again than to expose myself to anymore of this horrible, horrible series.

I'm surprised at your telling everyone what a weak person you are. Pull yourself together.

When someone asks you to see "Return of the King," say "No," and stick with it.

And next time you feel like spewing something on one of these threads, where people who DID "get" the movies are enjoying a collegial chat — say "No" to that urge, too.

Then you can get right back to Duke Nukem, or Super Mario Brothers, or whatever it is that you are able to understand.

Well, I have to agree with you. One of our liberal relatives came over and put it on our DVD player. It was the most boring film I have ever seen. I had to get up several times and walk around. The dumb relative kept saying, "oh put it on pause till he gets back". As I cringed.

I am just not into fantasy mumbo jumbo.
