[history]
WASHINGTON - Health and Human Services Secretary Tommy Thompson said yesterday he does not plan to be inoculated with the smallpox vaccine and recommends that other Cabinet members not request the inoculation either.
"I do not believe it is necessary or should be taking place," he said.

You are posting information whose original source is Christian Science rantings. So Stanford University is a Christian Science center these days? Drs. Salk and Sabin are CS priests? The former head of the World Health Organization is a CS diciple? World experts in immunology and medicine are CS followers? Leaders in medicine back from the 1800's are founders of CS? The British government is a large CS cult?
To you, anyone that disagrees with you is a cultist. Medicine is what you see on TV shows, and scientists are quacks.
It could get someone killed. It already has.
You better recant that allegation bud. I've done nothing of the sort. You and your brethren HAVE been responsible for millions of deaths however, as the vaccine HAS resulted in millions of smallpox deaths throughout history..
BTW, Jesus used medicine to heal.
Are you a Christian Scientist, or do you lead your own cult?
To: VRWC_minion
BTW, do you find the New England Journal of Medicine to be a Christian Scientist publication? How about the Journal of the American Medical Association, or perhaps Lancet?
To: VRWC_minion
Do you even understand what you read, or do you simply launch attacks without even reading one word of what I post?
To: VRWC_minion
I suggest you immediately recant your slanderous remarks and malicioius lies.

Jesus did heal with medicine.
To: FormerLurker
I'm seriously considering it. I wish they'd let my nutritionist/iridologist be my doctor but they just don't, ya know? I may change to a woman doctor in the area who is pretty sharp. It's farther to drive but maybe she can find out what's been wrong for the past few years that the others haven't figured out yet. Oh well. Merry Christmas, FormerLurker! Thanks for your posts on vaccinations. I think I'll forego mine. I refuse to do flu shots, for instance.

Jesus did heal with medicine. That's nice. Now recant your lies and slander. I have not advocated Christian Scientist beliefs nor do I find them valid. Because I present factual documentation in relation to vaccinations does not mean I am saying that medical procedures or treatments are to be rejected, I am simply discussing vaccinations.
If you had bothered reading my posts, you'd see MANY of the sources WERE from medical journals and publications. In fact, I HAVE stated that the new anti-viral drug, hexadecloxypropyl-cidofovir, might be the solution to the smallpox threat.
Your attempt to paint me as a cultist isn't amusing, and I resent your slanderous remarks associating me with fatalities caused by medical neglect. If you can't discuss a topic without resorting to the extreme ad hominem tactics you've demonstrated here, I suggest you find another thread to play on.

I refuse to do flu shots, for instance. I've gone my entire life without a flu shot and I'm still kicking.. :)

Oh well. Merry Christmas, FormerLurker! Thanks for your posts on vaccinations. Merry Christmas to you too, and you're welcome..
To: FormerLurker
I used to do them but then the iridologist told me never to take them and since I trust his judgement, I never have since. All this stuff is poison to your system. No wonder everyone you know has cancer or some other debilitating disease. Makes you wonder, doesn't it???
To: FormerLurker
You are advocating Christian Scientists beliefs and folks do die from those beliefs.

Again, our correspondent, FormerLurker, is clearly a manicoid obsessional on this subject. Who knows what may be the sources of FL's animus but, furthermore, he is 'informed' in an oddly perseverative mode, but actually quite bizarre.
His is, mostly, TFH stuff. You are talking at the wind!

What does THF stand for ?
To: skull stomper
I do not have to refute your "facts", history shows that you are indeed, well..., wrong. Do you read your history out of comic books or brochures?
To: skull stomper
Spin away!, cut and paste away!, "quantity vice quality", is your forte. You have posted quantity in the way of BS, zero in the way of quality in relation to facts. Your attempted belittlement of posting references is a not so clever ruse at ridiculing the practice of providing references to substantiate statements of fact. You obviously have never heard of such a thing...

I know what you're trying to do. You are obviously launching ad hominem comments concerning me so as to start a flame war, resulting in this thread being deleted. Nice try...

You are advocating Christian Scientists beliefs and folks do die from those beliefs. Do you believe a 18th century quack job to be infallible simply because he fraudulently claimed to be a doctor? And since I don't share in your misguided belief, I must be in a cult? It is people with that mindset that HAVE caused unfounded and dangerous practices to be performed so as "not to rock the boat" in medicine. Do you still believe in bloodletting?
To: dodger
Incidently, you apparently have zero reading skills or comprehension, as history proves you to be wrong. You apparently have the same moral fortitude as Edward Jenner, who falsely claimed to have invented a vaccine against smallpox for his own personal gain, truth be damned as well as those unfortunate enough to have succumed to smallpox due to his treachery.
