Huh? LOL!
You're getting stranger as the posts increase.

FYI..........just because someone has a differing opinion regarding a particular issue from what you might hold, it does not make them a RAT, a DU'er or a disruptor.
In other words.......
Knock it off!

Republicans should ask Lott to step down as leader, but only for all the nice things he's said about Teddy Kennedy.

I had already dispatched him...if you had kept up you would've known [so you couldnt have known if I had bogied or not]....you brought it back up.
As I said....had someone else rebuked him for the accusation that was not supported than I wouldnt have had to.

"Doesn't sound like your girl wants your boy to stay."
A lot of us don't now that he caved in and supports affirmative action, and is doing the old GOP Grovel routine.
However, we didn't want to set the precedent that an off-the-cuff remark that upset the PC crowd should be justification for tossing a guy overboard. Now that he's thrown himself overboard into the Sea of Political Correctness in his BET interview, we have no reason to continue backing him.
Lott should have been removed as leader a long time ago for being weak and cowardly, but not for saying something nice to Thurmond at a party. If things like that become justification for punishing someone, it won't be long until a few kind words about George Washington (slave owner) or the Bill of Rights (drafted by slave owners) will disqualify someone from office.
Someone earlier posted a satire of Lincoln lecturing Lott. Apparently the author of that piece forgot that Lincoln wanted to ship the freed slaves to Africa, and in a few years will probably also be persona non grata if PC isn't brought to a standstill by a few courageous people willing to fight it.
The hypocritical furor over Lott's comments to Thurmond only feeds the ugly PC monster. Unless it is stopped dead in its tracks, we face a future where being a leftist is a prerequisite for holding public office, as the number of thought crimes escalate exponentially.

"If we were to move on and shrug it off, it would go away because liberals continue to believe and "feel" that if one votes against raising the minimum wage, against national health insurance, increased homelessness budgets, any feel good social program...you must be against blacks (the major receipients of this largess) ergo:racist.
Republicans can't win this arguement"
I humbly come back to:
If we treat people right, our leaders are fair and reasonable people above the appearance of impropriety (meaning we don't glorify ugliness, but always couch the 'speak' of issues that we *all*, I hope, are glad are gone and lead with logic for all men striving for a fair and righteous playing field) that we can continue to win on these issues and help people.
We need more darn solid FReeper types running that are strong and care; but are smart and cunning...the playing field isn't ours, we're on their turf!
