Oh Dear Polycarp,

My limited awareness of the centuries of Romanism and the breadth of Romanism would indicate to me that one could find just about any expression in Romanism that one finds without it--at one time or another--in one location or another.

Besides that, my experience with God seems to indicate to me that He Loves being a literalist and confounding with His foolishness the wisest of man's wisdom. Actually, I think there's a Scripture that asserts the same thing.
