To: Dr. Eckleburg
It appears that we both have faith, only different.
To: yendu bwam
Absolutely correct, perhaps in the future, what now is not plausible, will be.
To: MEGoody
I've often wondered that myself.
To: MEGoody
It would appear that our relationships with the one God, are different, as are our beliefs.
To: Dr. Eckleburg; MEGoody; yendu bwam; exmarine
In closing, I would like to say, that since we all agree that there is only one, all-powerful, God, I believe that He is quite capable of accomodating all His different believers, in their own manner, no matter how diverse, and even those of aliens, if they exist. Please have a Merry Christmas and prosperous New Year.
To: exmarine
If men are machines, then the mannishness of man is excluded...This doesn't seem to follow.
To: Doctor Stochastic
Sure it follows. Re-read the post. It says it very well. Nietzsche could see it; Marquis de Sade could see it; Sartre could see it. Why can't you see it? Evidently you need to do some thinking.

Please have a Merry Christmas and prosperous New Year. If God created you, don't you think he would also care how you view Him? Again, you are presupposing a disinterested god who doesn't care about your behavior and beliefs. If, however, God is a personal God who has revealed himself and His plan through Jesus Christ and the bible, then you are wrong, and you will be held accountable for your actions.

Read down through the posts, hypocrite.Oh? Where did I condemn vigorous refutation mixed with a healthy amount of scorn for those who've shown themselves worthy of it?
I didn't, did I?
And you also accused me of lying. Not even a feeble attempt to answer that one, is there? Nor any recognition of the fact that I nailed you red handed when you tried to say I'd started with an insult.
It looks like you're trying to have the last word. Don't bother; you'll dig yourself deeper and embarrass yourself more.

God...is quite capable of accomodating all His different believers, in their own manner....God does not accomodate us; we accomodate God.
For you to believe otherwise is not Christianity, it's humanism, or perhaps astrology.
To: exmarine
Nietzsche could see it; Marquis de Sade could see it; Sartre could see itNow that you explain which philosophers you are relying on, I see why you didn't give any reason for your conclusions.

To: Johnny Shear
So now you repeat yourself, as if "reading down through the posts" would prove anything. It won't, any more than it will "prove" I started with an insult.
Having utterly fail to back up your accusations, you stand exposed as a liar.

JS, AJA,
Perhaps I'm the thickheaded one . . . but uhhhh . . .
the point of this p*ssing contest is
uhhh
that someone's brain is supposedly bigger?
or
that
someone's something else is bigger?
???????

The point being...I don't take being lied about lightly. If the idiot would simply read down through the posts...His first one to me...He would find his mistake and crawl back into the hole he came from.
To: Quix
The point is, he's been thoroughly and totally shown to be wrong, and he can't stand it. So instead of defending his argument, which he can't because it's based on a factual error, he went off into insults. And the doofus got whipped there too. Incredibly, his reply to your message tells me to look at my first post to him to back up his attack, when I already quoted it because it shows he was making things up. That's the mentality we're dealing with.
To: MEGoody
I love your great point--indeed the standards, the criteria change when considering The Resurrection vs evolution.

Jesus:
. . . . not one tiny punctuation mark will change [in the Scriptures] until all has been fulfilled [to the smallest detail].
Sounds like a fairly firm, even strict, theological standard to me.
