If that happened, The Democrats will have lost everything. Their spin would be irrelivant. They don't get to fill the Senate seat with a crimminal, nor refer to Republicans as "Segragation supporters".
Many don't care for Lott, but we need tokeep the Senate. That needs to be first and foremost on our minds. It's a Democrat victory if we cave. The voters chose Republicans to lead the Senate twice. I don't think they'd like it if we screwed them again!
