"Jesus loves the little children, if their mommy and daddy are the same race." In the OT, they were required to marry within their own tribe. I don't know if Mary and Joseph were of the same tribe or not.
Don't know how to fit it all together.

Changes take place over thousands of years.

"Race Has No Meaning Genetically, Researchers Say" Maybe not, but culture certainly does have meaning, lots and lots of it.

It seems obvious to me that race is a concept people have made up. I'm not sure what one would look for if one were looking for a genitic meaning for race. The whole concept of genetics runs counter to the idea of race as some sort of fundamental aspect of nature.

"In the OT"
Adam and Eve were the genentic father and mother to us all.

Climate, hunting requirements, prenatal and neonatal nutrition, etc.

Is the difference in breeds of dogs or cats the same as different races in humans? Would you be able to tell the breed of a dog from it's genes? The closest analogy to dogs' genetics and human racial differences is that humans are all beagles with differing varieties of spots, fur coloration, length of tail, length of nose, length of hair, but all recognizable as beagles. There is greater genetic difference between a scottish terrier and a border terrier than there is between me and a african pigmy. My son is most likely to be a six-foot white guy rather than a four-foot black guy but they could marry each other's sisters and produce some five-foot tall brown children.

I bred my beagle with a pitbull.
Now all the puppies do is sit in front of the TV and watch Bugs Bunney and WWF.

"What about pretty and ugly?"
Pretty, good; ugly, bad.

This is hogwash as much so as Boas' anthropology. Yet the superstitious will go on a rampage of poltical correctness and go look for dissenters, happy to tie someone to the stake out of sheer moral fanaticism.

That is true, but the Israelites were commanded to marry only within their own tribes. It's right in the OT.

Is that why my kids are always coming up and kicking me in the shins? They blame me for their sorry looks?
To: Aliska
After Adam an Eve, when tribes?
To: junta
Well, I admit that my brain cells are not what they once were, but I don't get your point. BTW, did you mean Boaz?
To: yankeedame
Hmmmm. For some reason this sounds like B.S.
To: Bluntpoint
HEEEEEEHEEEEEEEEEE!. My kids are too good looking for their own good. And that's about the ONLY thing they haven't kicked me in the shins for!

What do a black man and white women give birth to? A woman, black or white, gives birth to a baby.
Men, black or white, do not usually give birth to anything.
