Yep - our critters definitely know when a leave taking is imminent. Our dogs get all round-headed and wormy looking - like they're trying to shame us into staying. Pitiful really. But we're always ready to get back home to them no matter how nice the trip.

ahhh! "Bent" as a synonym for "Clinton." Thanks. This is becoming clearer.

LOL, goodness knows, I didn't mean to compare your dog Gilligan to Clinton!!!

Things are getting fuzzier and furrier.

Don't feel guilty: cats would much rather be left behind than taken anywhere.

And welcome to Freeper's Finest. When you get back from the West Coast, come visit again. It's a totally nice place to be and what with your nice name and all, I bet you'll have great fun here.

BTW, me and the Band are going to happy hour at the Capitol Ale House--just west of 7th and Main downtown--after work today if ya wanna throw back a few EggNogs. If not, have a great time on the West Coast and don't be a stranger!!

In my experience, when Loddy uses the word "bent", some reference to slick cannot be far behind.

I know that and you know that but they don't know that. And they don't mind laying on the guilt trip either. Oh well, I wouldn't have it any other way, I guess.

I will come back when I get back from the West Coast. What a nice change of pace this thread is.

I would really love to be there but I still have 9 million things to do before I leave tomorrow morning. Let me know if you and your band will be there another time, okay? 7th & Main is just a few blocks from my office (Old City Hall - overlooking the Capital).

My office is closer to your office than your office is to the Capitol Ale House.

BTW...when I was 3rd year in Architectural School, I did a term paper researching Old City Hall and my research was referenced in the decision not to tear that beautiful building down.

Cool. I'm glad they didn't tear it down. It is quite a beautiful building. Although, the electrical system could stand to be updated just a tad.

Your kitties will find something to keep them busy. They can be far more resourceful than we give them credit for.
