It was Kean who led the far from moderate attempt to strip the pro-life plank from the 1996 Republican party platform.

He should be persona non grata in this "pro-life evangelical Christian Republican" President's eyes.

Why isn't he?

By the way, Tom Ridge joined Kean in calling for the removal of the pro-life plank from the 1996 Republican party platform.

I guarantee you the Republican party will strip the pro-life plank from the Republican party platform by 2008.
