He may have won over blacks tonight, but he sure lost me if ANY of what I have heard is true.

He didn't win a damned thing. Black folks (i.e., black liberals) are ticked off that he came off as condescending; I'm pissed off that he shoved his foot even further down his throat in what clearly was a desperation move.

He had a shot at keeping things status quo before tonight - his Friday apology was rough, but with time, it could pass. But this? Nope. He's toast. And if we lose the Senate to the Dems, Lott has only himself to blame.

I knew going in that Lott had nothing at all to gain from this. This guy apologizes even more than Bill Clinton. He has to go, and go now.
