Lott is not in the best position to advance that agenda and could very well endanger our future, short-term if he prematurely leaves the senate, and long-term if he remains as SML and continues to be the poster-child of the GOP and target-practice for the left.

When the RATS think Trent Lott might lose his leadership position they will forgive him in the hopes that he will remain the ML and this issue will continue to be an issue. The fact is. Lott had a chance to handle this correctly and he blew it. His interview tonight on BET was pathetic and I'm now convinced we need a Majority Leader who can articulate his objections to the failed policies of Affirmative Action and other racist policies.
His proclaiming he supports AA tonight was a complete an utter slap in the face to all of us who have supported candidates with our time and money who pledged to fight these types of policies that reward mediocracy and punish excellence
