But since you brought up Alan...who do you think would have come out looking like a whipped puppy if it had been Dr. Keyes taking on the panel on BET tonight? Would he have come out of that studio stripped of all dignity and having conceded most of the principles of the party he was leading?

The only truthful answer anyone could give to that question is no...the panelists would have been the ones slinking away in shame...and the listeners would have gotten an education on what the true issues are that face blacks AND whites in this country.

So knock it off with what you think is some kind of slur by attaching me to Alan in every post you ever bother to post to me. He's far more of a man than your hero Trent Lott will ever be, and I'm proud to call him my friend...no matter what you think.

Trent Lott is no hero of mine. You, on the other hand, are ripping and roaring over what you see to be the demise of the Republican leadership. I'm just trying to point out, who you brung to the party, and how helpful to the party, that person has been. As far as I can see, it's not too helpful. But the Keyes camp is great at sniping.

Lott is now finished. He is in no position to use the power of Maj.Leader. He is of no use to the conservative cause or to the Bush White House.

Lott is not a racist, but Lott cannot stay. Lott would rather stay in power by pandering, than walk away from power because of principle and self-respect

The Democrats have hold of his testicles and they will not let go. Whenever he has an urge to take a conservative stand, the Democrats will SQUEEZE until Lott falls back into the Democrat line.

Lott is in no position to push the Bush agenda.
