"And I have one more question: whose idea was it to get him on BET? Would it be that weasel Dick Morris's idea? I would really like to know." I've been wondering that, since it was announced Friday.....

Lott should never have gone on BET. PC wins again. This appalling spectacle won't win a single black vote, but it will prove to the race baiters that Republicans are scared stiff of the black caucus and the racists like Jackson & Sharpton.
The Republicans, including Lott, played right into the liberals' hands by not just telling the PC thought police to back off on day one. By apologizing, soul searching, pandering, and doing the patented "GOP Grovel", they've assured that Lott will be smeared as a racist and that the GOP will lose momentum.
Lott's birthday comment was perfectly harmless. No one said a damn word about it until Jackson & Sharpton started the PC furor, and Republicans melted.
