The CIA (news - web sites) later discovered that an American citizen, Kamal Derwish, had inadvertently been killed in the inferno. GOOD!

Oh blah blah blah. Yes it's assassination of U.S. citizens we're talking about...EXTRAJUDICIAL KILLINGS (gasp)! Just like at the Battle of Gettysburg when the "Union Army" pro-Lincoln militants carried out the extrajudicial killings of thousands of Southern U.S. citizens, without even bothering to inform them of their right to counsel or to remain silent!
Why can't people understand the difference between war and policework? Yes this is war. Get caught fighting for the wrong side and you die, no matter what it says on your passport.

And frankly, there's a terrorist technique that everybody has been unwilling to discuss that has come into play -- Put your sleepers into a society, and have them wait until they become citizens before they launch terrorist attacks! So then they can claim their rights are being violated, blah blah blah. While we should respect the rights of U.S. citizens, we can't play into the hands of terrorists who would naturalize as part of their terrorist plot.

Over three thousand Americans know all about assassination, and it wasn't President Bush who flew those planes into our buildings.

Once they do the paperwork, Administration officials assert, they have the right to murder you. Right. And FDR murdered all those German and Japanese soldiers too huh?

Under his legalized assassination mandate, Bush could theoretically declare the 2004 Democratic nominee an "enemy combatant," Hellfire his campaign bus and coast to reelection unopposed. It's probably not a bad idea to draw up plans considering that the fanatics of the radical liberal wing of the RAT cult are increasingly becoming more dangerous to the nation than the Al Qaeda.

"While the CIA has targeted U.S. citizens in the past, those killings were officially sanctioned only when the person in question was considered an immediate threat to American lives"
At this point in history it's kill or be killed!
Islam issued the edict to kill all christians, it's time to send them to meet their virgins.

Why does Rall bother writing columns and drawing cartoons. He could just write "Hi I'm Ted Rall and I have a childish understanding of the way the world works. Have I mentioned that my daddy left me?" and just submit that at every deadline.

"The CIA (news - web sites) later discovered that an American citizen, Kamal Derwish, had inadvertently been killed in the inferno. What "inadvertent"? The POS was in the same frickin' SUV as enemy terrorists. That makes him either a terrorist, or "collateral damage", both of which are perfectly legitimate legal classifications.
Ted is either too stupid or too dishonest to know that a declaration of war is not a magic wand. It is used by Congress to initiate war against another country, but is not required when the US has been attacked and is fighting back.
I suppose Ted is upset about all those nazis and Japs we killed without serving them with a cease-and-desist order first. Or the fact that it has been the courts, and not Bush, that has ruled that if you hang out with the enemy, you can expect the same fate. And if you're captured, you may or may not retain the rights of an American citizen, depending on your actions. These actions are well known, and logical. Just ask the American captured with nazi agents in Maine. He was hanged right alongside them.
Ted Rall is both evil and stupid.
